Frequently Asked Questions — OEM/ODM Electric Scooters

Last updated: August 2026 · Mihunter (Zhejiang Mihunter Technology Co., Ltd.)

Buying OEM/ODM electric scooters from China involves a lot of unknowns: MOQ, lead times, certifications, warranty, and what "OEM-ready" actually means. These are the questions international distributors, importers, wholesalers, fleet operators and brand owners ask us most — answered with the real numbers from our factory in Yongkang, Zhejiang.

1. What is your MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?

MOQ depends on the model and configuration. For stock (catalog) urban scooters we can usually start from 100–300 units per model; for customized OEM/ODM projects (new colors, branding, spec changes) the MOQ is typically 40HQ, subject to written quotation. If you are a startup, ask us about our low-MOQ pilot options — we work with new brands.

2. What is your typical lead time?

The default factory lead time is 45 days excluding transport, subject to configuration, order confirmation and written quotation. Customized projects may take longer. We recommend confirming the order 60 days before your target launch date.

3. Which certifications do your electric scooters have?

The 2026 brand catalog lists: RoHS, SGS, FAMA, eKFV, ISO 9001, GSV, ICTI CARE, UL, CE, EN17128, ABE and ASTM F2264. Important: certification applicability must be verified for the exact model, configuration and destination market before purchase — a factory-level certificate list is not the same as a model-level certificate.

4. Do you offer both OEM and ODM services?

Yes. OEM: you provide the specification and we manufacture to it. ODM: we design/propose the product and you brand it. MiHunter supports both, and introduces approximately 10–15 new items each year, so there is always a recent platform to build on.

5. What is the difference between OEM and ODM at MiHunter?

With OEM, you own the spec — we execute it with our 15 R&D engineers and integrated production line. With ODM, you pick from our catalog or co-develop a model with us, and we handle the engineering. Most of our distributor customers start with ODM (stock models with their branding) and move to OEM as volumes grow.

6. What is your warranty policy?

The default warranty is 12 months, with factory spare parts available. Scope and start date must be confirmed in the order documentation. For fleet operators we can discuss extended warranty programs.

7. Which markets do you export to?

MiHunter currently focuses on B2B customers in South America, Europe and Africa. We handle different road-use requirements and configurations per destination — confirm your target market when requesting a quote.

8. Can you adapt a scooter to my local regulations?

Yes. Speed limits, battery capacity and road-use requirements differ by country (e.g., eKFV in Germany, EN17128 in the EU). Tell us your destination market and we will confirm which configuration complies before you order.

9. How do I get a quotation?

Email molly@mihunter.com or call +86 135 0679 0933 with: target market, estimated annual volume, model(s) of interest, and any branding/customization needs. We reply with a written quotation including configuration, lead time and commercial terms.

10. What payment terms do you accept?

Terms are confirmed per order and typically include a deposit with balance against shipping documents. Longer payment terms can be discussed for established distributors with order history — we are flexible but terms must be documented.

11. How do you handle quality control?

QC runs across the integrated production line: incoming component inspection, in-line checks, and pre-shipment inspection. Our factory is ISO 9001 certified and listed with social-compliance programs including FAMA, GSV, ICTI CARE, which matters if you sell into retail chains that audit factories.

12. Can I visit the factory?

Yes — we welcome distributor visits. The factory is at Plant 1, Floor 3, No. 9 West Huagang Road, Yongkang, Zhejiang, China (Yongkang is one of the main scooter manufacturing clusters, alongside Wuyi and Ningbo). Coordinate with us in advance and we will arrange a full tour.

13. What is your production capacity?

Our factory covers 20,000+ m², employs 400+ team members, and has a daily capacity of 1,200 pieces. That means a 10,000-unit order fits comfortably in our schedule rather than disrupting it.

14. Do you provide spare parts support?

Yes. Factory spare parts are available under warranty and for post-warranty maintenance. Confirm the spare parts list and pricing in your order documentation so there are no surprises at year two.

15. Can you put my logo and branding on the scooters?

Yes — branding (logo, colors, packaging, user manuals, app name) is part of our OEM/ODM service. Branding specifics affect MOQ and lead time, so include them in your quote request.

16. Do you support after-sales service for my customers?

We provide technical documentation, troubleshooting guidance and spare parts for your after-sales team. For larger accounts we can also support training calls with your service staff.

17. How many new models do you launch each year?

Approximately 10–15 new items per year across urban, off-road, kids and mobility lines. If you subscribe to our catalog updates, you will see new platforms before the trade-show season.

18. How long has MiHunter been in business?

MiHunter has operated independently since around 2016, building on scooter manufacturing experience dating to 2001. The company is registered as Zhejiang Mihunter Technology Co., Ltd. in Yongkang, Zhejiang.
